Performing Arts
Ascend Leadership Academy offers a dedicated theatre and musical arts program for students looking to grow their talent and showmanship. From annual shows to seasonal concerts, the Performing Arts Department and ALA Tech Crew aim to provide opportunities for students to participate in roles on-stage and behind-the-scenes.
Performing Arts Program
ALA’s Performing Arts Program is an after school theatre performance program open to middle and high school students. This program produces a variety of events throughout the year, including a fall play and a spring musical. Students in the Performing Arts Program work alongside students in the ALA Tech Crew to create an authentic theatrical experience that puts students at the forefront of creative leadership.

International Thespian Society
Our International Thespian Society troupe is an organization that honors high school students who are committed to our theatre arts program, both on and off the stage. These students have the opportunity to participate in regional competitions, receive honors cords upon graduation, and work to support the needs of our theatre arts program.
ALA Tech Crew
The ALA Tech Crew is a student-led program for students interested in pursuing careers in technical theater and event production. Students in grades
6th-12th spend hundreds of hours preparing for various school shows, fundraisers, and events. Students are guided to run their shows as closely to a real production company as possible, completing tasks such as planning, budgeting, peer training, and logistics. Some of the biggest events they lead include the annual ALA Talent Show and the school's Haunted House displayed during the annual Fall Festival in October
