4D Productions North Carolina
4D Productions North Carolina (formerly ALA Tech Crew) is a student-led program for students interested in pursuing careers in technical theater and event production. 4 Dimension Productions was first established Syracuse, NY - where the lead chapter still exists today.
4DNC is the ONLY chapter in North Carolina.
Students in grades 6th-12th spend a significant amount of time preparing for various school shows, fundraisers, and events. The average student member completes just over 300 service learning hours a year. Students are guided to run their shows as closely to a real production company as possible, completing tasks such as planning, budgeting, peer training, and logistics. Using industry-leading technologies for lighting design, audio engineering, staging and video production, students will gain real-world experiences and life skills, while maintaining a professional and positive community venue.
4DNC leads major fundraising events at ALA including the school's Haunted Trail and "Monstrosity" entertainment show both displayed during the annual Fall Festival in October, as well as the annual ALA Talent Show,. The organization also provides technical support for all concerts, plays, musicals, assemblies, and other community events at the school.
