Due to continued unsafe road conditions, ALA will implement a remote learning day on Wednesday, February 4th. Please remember that ALA aligns with Lee County Schools regarding school closures related to inclement weather. Teachers will continue to post assignments in Canvas or communicate expectations through TalkingPoints by 9am.  Thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue to prioritize the safety of our students and staff.

Welcome to ALA

Ascend Leadership Academy is a tuition-free public charter school located in Sanford, North Carolina, serving students in grades 6–12 through our in-person Academy and grades 6–10 through our Remote Academy. At ALA, we provide high-quality, project-based instruction with a strong emphasis on Digital Media and real-world learning experiences. Our mission is to ensure that every student finds their place, builds confidence, and develops the skills needed to succeed in school and beyond.
